'We sing old gospel songs to preserve them' - Akesse Brempong [VIDEO]


The conversation on current gospel singers always singing old gospel songs whenever they get the opportunity has been on the table of a lot of entertainment platforms with opinions differing from one platform to the other.

Speaking on this topic that has had VGMA artiste of the year winner JOE METTLE trend for being described as an artiste who only old songs and hymns is reggae artiste and worship leader Akesse Brempong.

In an interview with DJ Adviser on Happy FM,the 'God Is Working' who happenings to be the leader of the 'TRIBE OF JUDAH' band , one of the best gospel bands in Ghana said , the reason that he sings old songs is to preserve them.

According to Akesse Brempong who has a 15 minutes medley of some old worship songs on his 'HEAL OUR LAND' album,they grew listen to these old songs which were not properly recorded and so by singing and recording them,they are preserving and reigniting the anointing in these songs.

He added that,his generation has a duty of introducing the current generation to the experiences their mothers had listening to  these old songs when they were young.

Akesse Brempong also called Akessethelion recognized as one of Ghana's best reggae artiste currently  was on the show to promote his new song titled 'BLESSED' which features Joe Mettle.
